1. About these terms

Streak PT is a non-profit physical therapy education community. These terms govern your Streak PT membership account and your use of the member area of streakpt.com. By ticking the box when you apply, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to them, together with our privacy notice.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "Streak PT" mean the Streak PT community and its organising team; "you" means the person applying for or holding a membership.

2. Who can join

Streak PT membership is for the physical therapy profession. To join you must be:

• a physical therapist: a graduate of a physical therapy programme (including interns and those awaiting registration), or a licensed practitioner; or
• a physical therapy student currently enrolled in a faculty or programme of physical therapy.

Members of other professions are not eligible for membership, although our public pages, events and certificate portal stay open to everyone. In addition:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You may hold one membership, in your own name. Accounts are personal and cannot be shared, sold or transferred.
• You must give information that is true, accurate and up to date, and keep it that way.
• Membership is free. We may introduce paid activities in the future, but never without your clear agreement first.

3. Your application and proof of profession

To keep the community professional and our certificates trustworthy, every application is reviewed by one of our administrators before the account becomes active.

• You must confirm your email address using the link we send you.
• You upload a profile photo and one document that proves you belong to the profession: a physical therapy syndicate membership card, a licence to practise, a physical therapy degree or graduation certificate, or a current student card from a faculty of physical therapy. The document must be your own, genuine and unaltered.
• An administrator checks that the name on the document matches yours and that it shows physical therapy. The administrator then accepts or refuses the application. If it is refused, we tell you why by email and you may apply again with a different or clearer document.
• This check is about your profession only. It is not a government identity check, and we never ask for your national ID, passport or ID number.
• Your document is permanently deleted as soon as a decision is made, whether the application is accepted or refused. See the privacy notice for exactly how it is handled.

Claiming to be a physical therapist when you are not, using another person's document, or uploading a forged or altered document is prohibited. It leads to immediate refusal or termination and may be reported to the relevant professional body or authorities.

4. Keeping your account safe

• Choose a strong password of at least 12 characters that you do not use anywhere else. We refuse passwords known to have appeared in data breaches.
• Never share your password or let anyone else sign in as you. Streak PT staff will never ask for your password.
• Repeated failed sign-ins temporarily lock sign-in for your account to protect it.
• If you think someone else has accessed your account, change your password straight away (this signs out every other device) and contact us.
• Be alert to messages pretending to be from us. We only send account emails from an address at streakpt.com.

5. Community guidelines

Streak PT exists to help physical therapists learn. We expect every member to act with the professionalism of the clinic:

Respect

• Treat members, speakers, instructors and staff with courtesy. Disagree with ideas, never attack people.
• No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination of any kind, including on the basis of gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability or age.
• No sexual content, and no unwanted contact with other members.

Patient confidentiality

• Never share information that could identify a patient: names, photos, images of records, or details that point to a person, unless you have their documented consent and it is lawful.
• When discussing a case for learning, remove every identifying detail.

Professional and academic integrity

• Represent your qualifications, licence status and experience honestly.
• Do not alter, forge or misrepresent certificates, or claim attendance you did not complete.
• Do not present discussion in our community as individual medical advice to the public, or as a replacement for an assessment by a qualified clinician.
• Cite sources and respect the work of others.

Safety of the platform

• No spam, advertising, pyramid schemes or unsolicited commercial messages.
• No attempts to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours, to bypass security checks, or to disrupt the service.
• Do not record, copy or redistribute course sessions or materials without written permission.

Reporting concerns

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, or you feel unsafe, contact us at streak.physicaltherapy@gmail.com. We treat reports confidentially.

6. Courses, events and certificates

• Course and event details (dates, speakers, formats) may change. We will tell registered participants about significant changes as early as we can.
• Certificates confirm attendance or completion as recorded by the organising team. Their eligibility rules are published with each course or event.
• Certificates can be checked publicly on our certificate portal so that employers and colleagues can verify them.

7. Educational content

Our courses, meetings and materials are for the professional education of physical therapists and students. They are not medical advice for any individual. Apply what you learn using your own clinical judgement, within your scope of practice and the laws and professional standards that apply to you.

8. Intellectual property

The Streak PT name, logo and site, and the materials we publish, belong to Streak PT or to the instructors and partners who created them. You may use materials for your own learning. Any other use needs written permission.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close a membership that breaks these terms or the community guidelines, that was created with false information, or that puts other members or the service at risk. Where it is safe to do so, we tell you the reason by email. A suspension signs you out on every device. If you believe a decision is wrong, write to us and a different team member will review it.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from My account. Deletion is permanent: your profile, photo and any remaining application data are erased immediately. A minimal record that an account was deleted is kept in our security log, as explained in the privacy notice.

11. Liability

We work hard to keep the service accurate, available and secure, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Streak PT is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or of our educational content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell members by email or on the site before it takes effect, and the version and date at the top of this page will change. These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
